Jono comes to us as an experienced and accomplished musician and songwriter with well over ten years teaching experience in the Wimmera region. A vast range of styles and influences have helped him develop his own sound over the 25 years that he has been playing. Having delved into such musical genres as Rock, Pop, Blues, Country, Fusion and elements of Jazz, there is sure to be a wealth of range to cater for all musical tastes and students of all ages and experience. While located in Horsham he has still managed to be a part of several recording projects for various artists in Melbourne and has ventured to many capital cities as part of a live support band to individual soloists. If your playing needs direction and fresh new creativity, allow Jono to peel away the mystery of fretboard freedom and unlock your own expression through music.
Married to Ronnie with two children Jamie 10 & Shanae 8, Lisa has lived in the Horsham area for the past 23 years after moving here from North Queensland at age 14. At age 8, Lisa began learning music (organ) and completed AMEB practical and London Trinity College theory Grade 5 examinations – age 14. Once in Horsham, she began singing with local bands, in church and performing solo around 16 years of age. At 23 she began formal lessons with Val McKenzie in Horsham for 5-6 years. After Val’s retirement and with her encouragement, Lisa began teaching students of her own and has continued for the past 8 years. For many years Lisa has been involved in local community events (Carols by Candelight), choirs, musical productions, working with singing groups and some recording. During the past year and again this year, Lisa has recommenced vocal lessons to further her own voice and is working towards obtaining her formal singing teacher qualifications.
