Harvest's Purpose: Defines Our CauseThe reason why we exist as a church is summed up in our purpose which is simply, ’To know Christ & to Make him known’. The first half of the phrase, ‘To Know Christ’ stands for (TRUTH), an authentic reflection or our devotion to Christ and his words. The second half, ‘and make Him known’, is the practical attribute to our faith in Christ and the evidence of our Christianity (PROOF). Our goal is to portray Christ the way he would want to be represented. He was esteemed and respected by the masses, went to their functions, was relatable, approachable and practical.  Our logo encapsulates a 3 fold meaning complimenting our purpose and mandate to connect people. The wheat is symbolic for the Wimmera region with the line running through it for the cross, looping into a fish that the early Christians used to identify themselves with. The wheat is symbolic for connecting the church with the community; The Cross for connecting people to Christ; The Fish for connecting the church with each other. |
